Poland's Szwiłtek wins the Madrid Tennis Tournament title

Polish Iga Szwiłtek, ranked first in the world, took revenge on Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, who had defeated her last year and is ranked second, and won in two sets to one, 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (9-7), during a marathon confrontation that extended for three hours. Almost, and won the title of the Madrid Masters 1000 points in tennis.

This is the twentieth title for Shevuntek in her professional career, and the third this season in the 1000-point tournaments, after Doha and Indian Wells. Shevuntek also achieved the seventh victory over Sabalenka in 10 confrontations between them.

The Polish woman has been crowned at least once, in both the 1,000 and 500 tournaments held on European clay, and three titles in the French Open at Roland Garros. She has also won her last eight consecutive finals, and now joins Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina with 30 victories. This season.
