Alves was sentenced to prison and a fine

A civil court in Barcelona sentenced former Brazilian international star Dani Alves to 4 and a half years in prison, on charges of sexually assaulting a woman in a nightclub in Barcelona in 2022.
In addition, the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain French player will be forced to compensate the victim by paying $163,000, as he was sentenced, after his release, to remain under strict surveillance for nine and a half years.
