Belgian cyclist Wout van Aert (29 years old) returned to training about a month after his serious injury in the Belgian race, according to what was announced by his Visma-Lease team. Van Aart suffered fractures in his rib cage and ribs and a lung injury.
Van Aart missed the French race in Paris-Roubaix and was excluded from the Italian race, which begins on the fourth of next May, where he had hoped to participate for the first time.
The date for the Belgian cyclist's return to racing has not yet been determined, but his goal this season is to win the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
