Swimmer Flynn Southam announces the challenge

Young Australian swimmer Flynn Southam said that China's doping case will be an additional incentive for his country's swimmers during the Paris Olympics.

Southam, who was part of the 100-meter freestyle relay team that won the world championship in Fukuoka last year, added that his colleagues discussed the issue of revealing that 23 Chinese swimmers had failed doping tests for a banned substance before the Tokyo Olympics, and they agreed to perform their duty to the fullest.

Chinese swimmers escaped sanctions before the Tokyo Olympics after an investigation conducted by Chinese authorities concluded that the swimmers' positive results were the result of their unintentional exposure to a drug due to contamination.
