The Congolese Football Federation announced that it rejects the request of Manchester United player Aaron Wan-Bissaka to join its national team.
The Congolese Federation’s refusal comes as a response to Bissaka, who ignored his request to join the national team in 2022, as he hoped to play for the England national team, but after a list of the names of the players who will play in Euro 2024 was issued and it did not contain his name, he changed his mind and contacted the Congolese Federation, hoping that he might have a chance. To play for his home country's national team, but the response came quickly from the Congo that they did not need him.
His hope remains if England coach Gareth Southgate changes his mind and recalls him, or the Congolese Federation pardons him and returns him to its embrace.
