Bayern Munich closes third deal

Several English newspapers reported that Bayern Munich has reached an agreement with Fulham worth 51 million euros, in addition to 5 million euros in incentives, to sign Portuguese international midfielder Joao Palhinha.

Palhinha came close to joining the German club last summer after agreeing terms, but the move collapsed after Fulham were unable to find a replacement. The 28-year-old was so close to the move that he completed a medical and posed for photos in his new shirt.

The Portugal international was also the subject of a £45 million ($58.8 million) bid from West Ham United last summer, which Fulham rejected.
