Bayern Munich have signed Japanese international defender Hiroki Ito from Stuttgart on a contract until the summer of 2028, for a deal estimated at 30 million euros.
Eto'o usually plays as a centre-back, but can also play as a left-back or defensive midfielder.
The Japanese international played 97 matches for Stuttgart in two years, scoring two goals.
Eto'o (19 caps, 1 goal) and Waldemar Anton formed the defensive backbone of Stuttgart, who finished second last season, ahead of the Bavarian giants who lost the Bundesliga title they had won for 11 consecutive seasons to Bayer Leverkusen.
Stuttgart signed Eto'o in the summer of 2021 for less than one million euros, after he played for them for a year on loan from Jubilo Iata.
