Porto announces departure of veteran defender

Portuguese club Porto officially announced the departure of its veteran defender, Pepe, after the end of his contract with the team.

Pepe had two experiences with Porto, the first between 2004 and 2007, and the second between 2019 and 2024. During his career with Porto, Pepe achieved many achievements, most notably:

4 Portuguese League titles,
5 cups for Portugal,
3 Portuguese Super Cups,
Portuguese League Cup,
Intercontinental Cup.

Pepe expressed his thanks and appreciation to Porto and its fans over the past years, wishing them success in the future.
For his part, the president of Porto club praised Pepe's career with the team, describing him as "one of the club's legends."

Pepe's future is still unknown, but he is expected to continue his professional career at one of the European clubs.
