The German Football Association announced the renewal of the contract with Rudi Föller, the national team manager, until the 2026 World Cup. The German Football Association indicated that Föller’s contract would be renewed for an additional two years after the European Championship, which will be held this summer in Germany.
Fuller, 63 years old, assumed this position, which was created after the German national team’s exit from the first round of the last World Cup in 2022, after he was a member of a working team formed by the German Federation to bring about change.
The German national team's results have improved in the recent period under the leadership of its coach, Julian Nagelsmann, and Fuller is credited with this improvement.
Fuller played 90 international matches for the German national team and participated in the 1990 World Cup win. He also played in the 1986 World Cup and the 1992 European Championship, and scored 47 goals between 1982 and 1994.
He coached the German national football team in the 2002 FIFA World Cup and the 2004 European Nations Cup.
