Chelsea announces its contract with Enzo Maresca

English club Chelsea announced its official contract with Italian Enzo Maresca (44 years old), former coach of Leicester City, to succeed Argentine Mauricio Pochettino.
The Blues revealed, through its official website, that the Italian is scheduled to begin his duties on July 1, 2024, with a five-year contract, with the option to extend for an additional season.

Enzo's technical staff will include former Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero, Danny Walker, Michel de Bernardin, Marcos Alvarez, Xavi Molina and Roberto Vitello.

The Italian coach previously coached Parma, and worked as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City during the 2022/2023 season. In addition, he served as assistant to Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham United from July 2018 until December 2019, but in return he achieved a great achievement by returning Leicester City to the club.
