James carries the US flag at the Paris Olympics

Basketball star LeBron James has expressed his pride and appreciation for being chosen to carry the United States flag at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

“It is an incredible honor to represent the United States on this world stage, especially at a time when it can unite the entire world,” James said in a statement. “For a kid from Akron, this responsibility means everything, not just to me, but to my family, all the kids in my city, my teammates, the other Olympians and so many people across the country.”
“Sport has the power to unite us all, and I am proud to be part of this important moment,” he added.

James will become the first basketball player to carry the U.S. flag at a Summer Olympics since 1992.

James is one of the most famous athletes in the world, having won four NBA championships and four league MVP awards.
