Dani Alves is free

The Barcelona Civil Court, examining the case of former Brazilian and Barcelona national team player Dani Alves regarding the rape case in which he is accused, ruled to release him on bail of one million euros.

Reports stated that Neymar da Silva, the Saudi Al Hilal and Brazilian national team striker, was the one who paid the bail amount for his former colleague after his father deposited the amount in court.

The Barcelona court had previously ruled that Alves be imprisoned for 4 and a half years, after he was found guilty of raping a girl in a nightclub in Catalonia, in late 2022.

The newspaper explained that the court required that Elvis attend the court session once a week, in exchange for allowing him to spend the next period outside prison.
