A record in the women's European final

The final match of the Women's Champions League, which was held at San Mames Stadium in the Spanish city of Bilbao, witnessed a record crowd attendance.

50,827 fans watched Barcelona's victory over Olympique Lyonnais of France 2-0, winning its third title in the continental championship.

The attendance exceeded the previous record for the number of fans attending during the match in which Lyon defeated German Eintracht Frankfurt in the final of the tournament in Munich in 2012, when the attendance at that time reached 50,212 fans.

This number is considered a record at the level of the final matches of the Women's Champions League, while the record in general is 91,648 fans, who attended during the confrontation in which Barcelona defeated its German guest, Wolfsburg, 5-1, at Camp Nou Stadium in the first leg of the semi-finals of the 2022 edition.
