Stearns wins the Rabat Cup

American Peyton Stearns won her first title in her professional career when she defeated Egyptian Mayar Sharif 6-2, 6-1 in an hour and 12 minutes in the final match of the Rabat Tennis Tournament (250 points).

It is noteworthy that Stearns, who is 22 years old and ranked 81st in the world, played the second final in her professional career after losing the final of the Bogota tournament to German Tatiana Maria in April 2023.

On the other hand, Sherif, 28 years old and ranked 66th in the world, lost the final match for the second time in her professional career after the first in the Romanian Cluj tournament against German Andrea Petkovic in 2021.

Sherif has one title in her record, which she achieved in 2022 at the Italian tournament in Parma, when she defeated Greek Maria Sakkari.
