Suns fires coach

The Phoenix Suns fired their coach, Frank Vogel, after being eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs in the American Professional Basketball League.

Vogel, who previously led the Los Angeles Lakers to the league title in 2020 before being fired in the 2021-2022 season, was appointed coach of the Suns last June to replace the fired Monty Williams, before his career ended after he and his team finished sixth in the Western Conference standings. 49 wins versus 33 losses.

The Suns' performance was a disappointment in the regular season and then in the playoffs this season, as they suffered from many injuries to Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Devin Booker.
The Suns have never won the league title, but they reached the final three times in 1976, 1993 and 2021.
