Godfrey set his sights.

Italian club Atalanta has officially announced the signing of English defender Ben Godfrey from English club Everton for 10 million euros.

Godfrey, 26, has signed a five-year contract with the Italian side, keeping him with them until 2028.

Godfrey is the second English player to join Atalanta this summer, following the arrival of striker David Zapata from Brighton.

Godfrey is expected to play an important role in Atalanta's defence next season, as the club seeks to compete for Champions League qualification.
