The Golden State Warriors have signed Kyle Anderson to a three-year, $27 million contract. The 30-year-old entered the NBA as the 30th overall pick in 2014 by the San Antonio Spurs. After four years with the team, Anderson was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in 2018 and stayed through 2022. He averaged a career-high 12.4 points during the 2020-21 season, the only time in his 10-year career that he has averaged more than 10 points in a single season. While Anderson’s numbers may seem modest, he is an intelligent, reliable defender who can play multiple positions. He has had success throughout his career, and that will surely continue with Golden State. By adding Anderson, the Warriors are trying to regroup after the departure of Klay Thompson.
