Arsenal, the leader of the English Premier League, has begun working to strengthen its squad in preparation for the new season.
In accordance with the recommendation of Dutch legend Ruud Gullit (61 years old), they have put Feyenoord Rotterdam star Santiago Jimenez (22 years old) under their microscope in order to win him next summer.
The Mexican star scored 15 goals in nine matches last October, and led Feyenoord to the overall Dutch League title last season.
It is expected that the cost of contracting with Jimenez will be expensive, as the scorer extended his contract until 2027 shortly after the tournament.
Feyenoord hopes to obtain more than 70 million euros, and if more than one party enters, the price could reach 100 million euros.
