Geraint Thomas has his eye on Paris gold

British cyclist Geraint Thomas said he hopes to compete at the Paris Olympics this summer, but only if he feels he can win another medal.

Thomas, who won the Tour de France in 2018, participated in the Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro races, but was involved in accidents both times.

However, Thomas (37 years old) was more successful on the track, and was part of the team that won the gold medal in the team pursuit race at the Olympics during the 2008 and 2012 cycles.

Thomas also spoke about rider safety, which has become a talking point in the sport after a crash involving two-time Tour de France champion Jonas Weingard, Primoz Roglic, Remco Ivanpoel and others led to greater interest from cycling's governing bodies.
