Vaslin and Sigmund are champions of Roland Garros

Édouard Roger-Vasselin brought joy to the hearts of the French fans, by winning the mixed doubles title in the French Open Tennis Championship, with German Laura Siegmund, ten years after he was crowned the men's doubles title in the tournament.

The pair, consisting of Vasselin and Sigmund, defeated the pair consisting of American Desiree Krafcik and Briton Neil Skupski, winners of the Wimbledon Championship twice, with a score of 6-4 and 7-5.

This is the second Grand Slam title for Roger Vasselin, who won the doubles tournament in 2014 with Julien Benneteau.

Siegmund has three Grand Slam titles, as she previously won the mixed doubles title at the US Open in 2016 with Mati Pavic, and won the women’s doubles title with Vera Zvonareva in 2020.
