Women's tennis in Saudi Arabia

The Women's Professional Tennis Association announced that Saudi Arabia will host the next three editions of the season-ending tournament. The association indicated that choosing Riyadh to host the tournament came as a result of the history of sports in the Kingdom and its presence in the Middle East for more than twenty years.
The 2024 season finals will be held between November 2 and 9 with the top eight players participating.
This announcement comes after the Saudi Public Investment Fund announced a strategic partnership with the Association of Tennis Professionals.
For its part, the International Women's Tennis Federation announced that its agreement with the Saudi Federation will provide record prize money of $15.25 million this year, with further increases in 2025 and 2026.
