Kroos withdraws from international retirement

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos announced that he has withdrawn his decision to retire from international football and will return to the German national team, which is preparing to host the European Football Championship this year.
Kroos (34 years old), who retired after Germany was eliminated from the round of 16 in the European Championship 2020 by England, said that he will answer the invitation of national coach Julian Nagelsmann to join the national team squad next month.
Germany, which is facing intense pressure after being eliminated from the group stage of the World Cup in Qatar 2022, will compete in a group that includes Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland when it hosts the European Championship next June.
Kroos will play with the national team in its friendly match against France on March 23, then in the second warm-up match against the Netherlands in Frankfurt on March 26.
