Kerrol Figueroa, young Liverpool player

Liverpool FC announced that it has signed a professional contract with its young striker, Kerrol Figueroa, a player for the American youth national team.

Figueroa (17 years old) has excelled since joining Liverpool, when he was 14 years old, and succeeded in scoring at the age group level, until he was described as a “prolific scorer.”

Figueroa, who is also good at playing on the sides, scored 7 goals to help the American national team reach the final of the CONCACAF (North, Central America and Caribbean) Under-17 Cup in 2023.

Figueroa participated in the U-17 World Cup last year.

It is noteworthy that Figueroa is the son of Maynor Figueroa, the English Wigan defender and former Honduras national team player.

Historically, Liverpool has only known two American players: Zach Whitbread, the centre-back, who also graduated from the academy, and played only 7 matches in 2005, and Brad Friedel, the international goalkeeper, who participated in 37 matches from 1997 to 1999.
