Lazio appoints Baroni as coach

Italian club Lazio announced the appointment of Marco Baroni, former coach of Hellas Verona, as the new coach of the team, succeeding Igor Tudor.

Baroni, 60, will begin his mission on July 1.
Baroni parted ways with Verona by mutual consent and will take over at Lazio after Tudor resigned last week after less than three months in the job, replacing Maurizio Sarri who left in March.

Lazio finished the season in seventh place in the Italian League, and qualified for the Europa League.

Baroni led Verona to avoid relegation last season, and has previously had spells with Lecce, Frosinone and Benevento in Serie A.
