Cuban Megan Lopez announced his retirement from Greco-Roman wrestling after winning the gold medal in the 130kg category at the Paris Olympics. The achievement came after a crushing 6-0 victory over Chile's Acosta Fernandez in the final.
With this coronation, Lopez became the first wrestler in history to win five Olympic gold medals, thus writing his name in gold letters in the history of Greco-Roman wrestling.
For the bronze medal, China's Meng Lingze won the medal after defeating Egypt's Abdel Latif Menie 5-2. Iran's Amir Mirzadeh won the second bronze medal after defeating Azerbaijan's Sabah Shariati 4-0.
