Lunin takes responsibility for Ukraine's loss

Real Madrid and Ukraine goalkeeper Andriy Lunin expressed his deep regret over his country's 3-0 loss to Romania in the opening match of Euro 2024.

Lunin was responsible for Romania's first and second goals, making two huge blunders that were exploited by the opposition.

Lunin apologized to his teammates and the Ukrainian fans, stressing his desire to make up for it in the upcoming matches. Regarding his future with Real Madrid, Lunin said that he still wants to stay with the royal club, despite the rumors linking him to leaving this summer.

Lunin pointed out that the possible return of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois from injury does not change his desire to stay with the team, as he has performed exceptionally well over the past period and contributed to winning the Spanish League title and qualifying for the Champions League final.
