Manchester United make bid for De Ligt

Manchester United are looking to sign Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich, having made a €50m bid for the player.

However, this figure is considered less than the player's real market value, especially after Chelsea and Newcastle United also expressed interest in signing him.

It is not yet clear whether De Ligt will want to leave Bayern Munich, as he has a contract with the club until the summer of 2026.

Therefore, it is possible that he will refuse to move to Manchester United, especially since he is not guaranteed to play regularly with the team.

It is worth noting that United suffers from a shortage in the defensive line, as they are looking for a new defender to strengthen their ranks. Therefore, signing De Ligt would be a strong addition to the team, but this remains subject to the approval of the player and Bayern Munich.
