Sabrina Wittmann has been appointed interim coach of Ingolstadt, which plays in the German third division, until the end of the current season after the dismissal of coach Michael Kölner. Whitman previously coached the Ingolstadt U-19 team.
Vitman announced that she did not have time to think about assuming this position, and whether she was able to assume such a responsibility, but she considered it a good opportunity to show her true abilities.
For his part, Ivo Grillic, Ingolstadt's sporting director, did not rule out signing Wittman permanently.
Wittmann is preparing to play her first match with Ingolstadt against Waldhof Mannheim.
It is noteworthy that the third division is the lowest level in the professional football leagues in Germany.
