The news of Max Eberl's move as sporting director to Bayern Munich from Leipzig on a long-term contract has been confirmed.
Eberle, 50, will officially start work on March 1.
Bayern Munich's board of directors, consisting of nine members, most notably Uli Hoeness and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, held a regular meeting, where Eberl was voted in by a majority.
The club had already announced a “senior figure” for this position months ago, as the position of sporting director had been vacant since the departure of Hasan Salihamidzic since May 2023.
