Milan sign Pavlovic from Salzburg

Italian club AC Milan announced that it has reached an agreement with its Austrian counterpart Salzburg to sign Serbian defender Strahinja Pavlovic for 25 million euros.

The 23-year-old will join the Rossoneri on a permanent transfer, having spent three seasons with Salzburg, where he helped the team win three Austrian Bundesliga titles and the Austrian Cup.

Standing tall (1.94 metres), Pavlovic is a strong left-footed player and is expected to be a strong addition to Milan's defence, which suffered from some gaps last season.

This deal is considered the second biggest deal concluded by Milan this summer, after the signing of Belgian striker Charles De Ketely from Belgian club Brugge for 35 million euros.

Milan hopes to further strengthen its ranks during the current summer transfer window, in order to compete strongly for the Italian League title next season.
