Kuwait Club was crowned champion of the Kuwaiti Football League for the third time in a row and the nineteenth in its history, enhancing its record after defeating its host Al-Qadisiyah 3-0 in the penultimate ninth stage of the first group competitions (Top Six League).
The winner's goals were scored by Muhammad Dahham D. (10), Youssef Al-Haqqan D. (12 fouls in his team's goal), and Youssef Nasser D. (59 from a penalty kick).
Kuwait was two titles away from Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Arabi (17 each) in the struggle for historical leadership of the Kuwaiti League.
A few days ago, Al-Qadisiyah was crowned the Emir Cup at the expense of Al-Salmiya, and was alone in the lead as the club with the most wins of the title with 17, ahead of Al-Arabi and Kuwait (16 each).
