The Lebanese court issued a decision to suspend the results of the Lebanese Cycling Federation elections, which were held on September 15, 2024. This came after five associations filed an objection to the election results, which led to the intervention of the judiciary through the judge of urgent matters in Metn, President Ralph Karkabi.
According to the decision issued on October 10, the effects of the election results were suspended, in addition to the results of the meeting held by the union’s administrative body to distribute positions, which followed the elections. The decision stressed the need to stop implementing any procedures related to these elections until a final decision is issued by the competent authority.
The decision also stipulated the imposition of a severe fine of up to one hundred million Lebanese pounds for every day of delay in implementing this ruling, which adds a new dimension to the administrative conflict in the Lebanese sports community.
