The migration of sports talents in Lebanon continues as a result of the difficult circumstances the country is going through, which has led to the freezing of local sports activities and the lack of clarity on the horizon for the return of competitions in the near future.
In this context, coach Joe Ghattas, the technical director of Beirut First Basketball Club, joined the list of those leaving, as he completed the procedures for his transfer to Al-Ahly Benghazi Club in Libya.
Ghattas' departure came after Beirut First withdrew from the Arab Clubs Championship currently being held in Alexandria, giving up the chance to defend its title. This step was also taken by other Lebanese clubs, such as Al-Mariam (Al-Shanaville) and Al-Antoni Baabda, as a result of the current difficulties facing sports in the country.
