The Lebanese Table Tennis Federation announced that it received a decision from the Asian Federation to appoint Lebanese international referee Imad Maraab as a full member of the Technical Committee and the Asian Referees Committee for the period extending from 2024 to 2028.
Marab is one of the most prominent international referees in table tennis, holding the prestigious blue badge. He previously participated in refereeing the table tennis competition at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in Brazil in 2016, and the Paralympic Games in Paris, France in 2024. He also led many World Championship finals and international tournaments, in addition to being appointed as a general referee for a number of Arab championships and West Asian competitions.
The appointment letter issued by the Asian Federation included praise for Marab for his extensive knowledge, seriousness, and high efficiency, expressing the hope that his joining the committee would contribute to enhancing the organization and development of Asian competitions.
