Qablawi and Shaker represent Lebanon in the General Assembly of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees in Amman

The delegation of the Lebanese Olympic Committee, which includes Vice President Grand Master Sami Qablawi and Secretary General Mr. Jawdat Shaker, left for the Jordanian capital, Amman, to participate in the 22nd Ordinary General Assembly of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, which will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Federation, will chair the General Assembly, which includes 22 Arab National Olympic Committees. The General Assembly is scheduled to be preceded by the 40th meeting of the Federation’s Executive Office.

It is noteworthy that the Federation was founded in 1976 in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, under the name “Arab Sports Federation”, before its name was changed to “Union of Arab National Olympic Committees” during the 12th General Assembly meeting held in Jeddah in 2008.
