A number of elite players in Lebanese basketball clubs, especially from the vanguard teams, have received tempting offers from Gulf clubs to join their ranks during the upcoming season. According to informed sources, three players have expressed their initial approval to move to defend the colors of Gulf clubs in local tournaments.
However, the difficult conditions that Lebanon is currently experiencing, especially in terms of securing travel and facilitating logistical procedures, have temporarily disrupted these transfers, which puts the fate of the players and their participation with their new teams in jeopardy.
Negotiations are expected to resume in the coming weeks, if conditions improve, amid anticipation of how things will turn out, especially since the transfer of these players represents a great opportunity for them on the financial and technical levels, and also reflects the growing appreciation for Lebanese talent in team sports, especially basketball.
