The Lebanese swimming team returned from the 25-meter World Championships held in the Hungarian capital Budapest, achieving 9 new local records. The tournament was attended by Secretary Farid Abi Raad and Coach Francois Ghattas, along with players Munther Kabbara, Simon Douaihy, Talin Murad, and Lynn Hajj.
The swimmers broke local records in several categories, with Munther Kabbara setting new records in the 100m individual medley (54.03 seconds) and the 200m individual medley (1:55.31 minutes). Simon Douaihy also set local records in the 100m freestyle (47.91 seconds) and the 200m freestyle (1:45.32 minutes).
As for Lynn Al-Hajj, she achieved 3 local records in the breaststroke distances (100 meters, 50 meters), while Talin Murad recorded local records in the 100 meters and 200 meters backstroke.
The Secretary General participated in the opening ceremony of the temporary headquarters of the International Swimming Federation in Hungary, where the greetings of the Lebanese Federation were conveyed to President Hussein Al-Musallam.
