The Lebanese men's basketball team (under 18 years old) began its participation in the West Asian Championship, which qualifies for the Asian Championship for this age group, with a big win over Palestine (109-62), in the match that took place on the evening of Thursday, July 11, in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
The Lebanese national team players controlled the match from start to finish and easily imposed their rhythm on their opponents until they ended the match with a 47-point lead.
Lebanon will meet Jordan in its second match on Saturday, July 13, at 8:00 PM Beirut time, while Friday will be a day off for the Cedars.
It is noteworthy that the six teams participating in the regional championship were divided into two groups:
Group 1: Iran, Yemen and Iraq.
Group Two: Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine.
