Al-Attiyah is the World Cup champion

Qatari Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah was crowned champion of the Baha World Cup for Desert Rallies, after winning the Baja Dubai Desert Rally title, the seventh and final round of the World Championship. Al-Attiyah won the Dubai Rally with his French navigator Mathieu Baumel aboard a Prodrive Hunter car, achieving a total time of 5:22:52.3 hours. Saudi Yazid Al Rajhi and his German navigator Timo Gottschalk came in second place, while Argentine Juan Cruz Yacobani took third place.
