Verstappen first in testing

Dutch driver Max Verstappen (26 years old), winner of 19 out of 22 races last season, topped the Formula One race trials held at the Sakhir Circuit in Bahrain.
Verstappen achieved a time of one minute and 32.548 seconds, almost the same time he achieved last season.
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc took second place, Fernando Alonso third with Aston Martin, while Australian Oscar Piastri came in fourth with McLaren.
The Formula One season is scheduled to begin in Bahrain on the second of next March.
